Pinki Tuscaderro
"IT IS ONLY A MACHINE"
Indie/Experimental/Post-punk

With her new 2011 release, It is Only a Machine, Pinki Tuscaderro refines the lo-fi, rough and ruddy tone of her appropriately titled debut release, Demo Sins (Aug. 2009), to embark on a D.I.Y. expedition through digital audio, synthesizing an indefinable blend of post-punk, traditional blues, surf rock, country/folk, beat poetry, and experimental electronica. Resonant of such artists as The Breeders, Odetta, The Ventures, Allen Ginsberg, and Kraftwerk, this collection of songs is thick with lyrical worship, investigative fusion, philosophical inquiry, and minimalist ethos.
